Anxiety: An Extra Burden For Mothers

Emily was a devoted Mother and woman of grace and strength, with a heart full of love for her children. But despite her airs and graces she struggled severely with anxiety.

From the moment she opened her eyes each morning, Emily felt the weight of anxiety settle like a heavy cloak around her shoulders. The simplest tasks—a trip to buy groceries, a visit to the park with her children—seemed too big for her, leaving her feeling overwhelmed and exhausted before the day had even begun.

As she went about her daily routines, she tried to hide her inner turmoil from her children, putting on a brave face and smiling through the pain. But behind closed doors, she often found herself in a corner in an embryos position, tears streaming down her face, because of the weight of her anxiety.

Despite her best efforts to shield her children from the depths of her despair, Emily couldn’t shake the feeling that she was failing them—that her anxiety was preventing her from being the mother they deserved. Guilt gnawed at her heart like a relentless beast, leaving her feeling as though she were drowning in a sea of inadequacy and shame.

And yet, despite her episodes of despair, she clung to moments of light and hope—a tender hug from her children, a word of encouragement from her spouse. A smile and commendation from friends. It was these small gestures of love and support that helped her. So even though her Anxiety was an extra burden to face each day, her family were worth fighting for each day as well.

With each passing day, Emily found herself drawing strength from the love that surrounded her, finding solace in the knowledge that she was not alone in her struggles. She sought out therapy and people who could understand what she was feeling and experiencing. She also mingled with those who provided words of encouragement and practical support when she needed it the most.

And slowly, ever so slowly, Emily began to see hope more clearly in the horizon. Though her journey was far from over, she knew that she was not powerless in the face of her anxiety—that she had the strength and resilience to weather the storm and emerge stronger on the other side.

As she held her children close, Emily vowed to never give up—to keep fighting, keep pushing forward, and keep shining her light for all the world to see. For she knew that even in the darkest of nights, there was always hope—a beacon of light that guided her through the storm and into the arms of a new day.
